The Education Research Data Sharing Initiative, an AERA-ICPSR Partnership, has released three new studies that comprise the RETA Distributed Leadership for Middle School Mathematics Education: Content Area Leadership Expertise in Practice Series.
Focusing on day-to-day leadership in mathematics education, the RETA series aimed to design and validate research instruments that would illuminate such leadership and track its evolution over time. Two of these studies were conducted in the Chicago Public Schools, collecting both quantitative and qualitative data on school staff social networking, and one quantitative study was conducted in the Lincoln Public Schools, also on school staff social networking.
